Miami quarterback Carson Beck is the new leader at +300 in the most recent Heisman Trophy Odds posted on the FanDuel Sportsbook. Beck has a slight lead over Ty Simpson of Alabama, who is at +320 and Miami Columbus alum Fernando Mendoza of Indiana, who is third at +430.

The dropoff in the FanDuel Heisman Trophy odds is significant after Beck, Simpson and Mendoza. Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed is fourth in the FanDuel Heisman Trophy odds at +1600. Oregon QB Dante Moore, previously the Heisman Trophy odds leader, is now tied for 12th at +3000.

Beck is fourth nationally, completing 73.4 percent of his passes and 13th with a 168.49 passer rating and 26th, averaging 8.7 yards per attempt while posting 242.6 yards per game with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions while leading Miami to five wins without a loss.

Beck has a career-high passer rating, his best completion percentage playing a full season and is on pace to set a new record for the most TD passes he has thrown in a full year. Beck is now 29-3 during his collegiate career as a starting QB.

Beck has led Miami to key wins over Notre Dame, South Florida, Florida and Florida State. Notre Dame, South Florida and Florida State were all ranked when Miami beat them. Notre Dame and South Florida are in the week eight top 25.

Alabama lost its season opener to Florida State. Alabama has consecutive wins over Louisiana-Monroe, Wisconsin, at Georgia, Vanderbilt and at Missouri since the loss at Florida State. Georgia, Vanderbilt and Missouri were all ranked when Alabama defeated them.

Indiana has started the season with wins over Old Dominion, Kennesaw State, Indiana State, ninth-ranked Illinois, at Iowa and at third-ranked Oregon. The last three wins have vaulted Mendoza into to top three. Mendoza transferred from California during the 2025 offseason.

Beck and Miami will likely not face another ranked team during the 2025 regular season. Alabama has three games remaining on its 2025 regular season schedule against ranked opponents. Indiana and Mendoza will not likely play another ranked team during the 2025 regular season, despite being in the Big 10.
