Miami remained 11th in the ESPN Football Power Index after its 26-7 win over Florida on Saturday. The Hurricanes remained the top team in the ACC despite a lot of movement in the ESPN FPI from the rest of the conference.
The ESPN FPI projects Miami with 11.1 wins and 1.6 losses, a 16.6 percent chance to go undefeated, a 100.0 percent chance to win six games and earn a bowl berth, 50.7 percent projection to win the ACC, 60.8 percent to make the College Football Playoff, 10.4 percent to make the championship game and 4.8 percent to win the title
Florida State moved up five spots to 22nd in the ESPN FPI and second among ACC teams after a 66-10 win over Kent State. The Seminoles have the second-best chance to win the ACC at 18.1 percent. Georgia Tech is 32nd in the ESPN FPI and third among ACC teams. The Yellow Jackets have a 12.2 percent chance to win the ACC.
Every other team in the ACC has less than a 10 percent chance to win the conference per the ESPN FPI. Miami is one of eight teams in the ACC that has not played a conference game yet. Florida State hosts Miami on October 4 in the first 2025 ACC game for the Hurricanes after a week five bye.

Miami is the only ACC team that did not move in the ESPN FPI after week four. Four ACC teams had significant movement in the ESPN following week four outcomes. Syracuse moved up 17 spots to 51 after beating Clemson, who dropped 14 spots following the loss.
California dropped 19 spots in the ESPN FPI after a 34-0 loss to San Diego State. Virginia moved up 12 spots to 39th after a 48-20 win over Stanford. Georgia Tech and Virginia are the only top 10 ACC teams in the ESPN FPI that Miami does not play during the 2025 regular season.
