Miami will begin its 2026 season with a 9 PM Eastern Daylight Time kickoff at Stanford on Friday, September 4. This is the second time in two seasons Miami will have a late kickoff for a game on the West Coast. Miami kicked off at 10:30 PM EDT at California on October 4, 2024.
The 9 PM kickoff should at least mean that Miami and Stanford conclude the first half by the Hurricanes started at California in 2024. Miami will have an extremely short turnaround after playing at Stanford. Florida A&M is at Miami for the Hurricanes' home opener on Thursday, September 10 with the kickoff time To Be Announced.
The only other 2026 Miami kickoff time is at 6:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on November 7 at Notre Dame, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Stanford is the first of three consecutive non-Saturday games for Miami to begin the 2026 season.
In addition to the games against Florida A&M and Stanford being during the week, Miami plays at Wake Forest on Friday, September 18. Miami will play its first Saturday game in 2026 against Central Michigan on September 18. The first three 2026 Miami games will almost certainly be at night.

One more Friday game
Miami will also play on Friday. November 20 in its penultimate 2026 regular season game against Virginia Tech. The rest of the 2026 Miami schedule will all be on Saturday. Miami finishes the 2026 season at home against Boston College on November 28.
Miami beat Stanford 42-7 in 2025 in the first meeting between the programs. Stanford led Miami 7-0 until C.J. Daniels caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Carson Beck with 1:15 left in the first half. After taking the lead in the third quarter, Miami scored on its last four possessions to take control of the game.
Kickoff times for the remainder of the 2026 Miami football schedule, with the exception of the Friday games, will likely be revealed throughout the season. Most schedules are released two weeks out, with the ACC also reserving the right to put games on a six-day hold before announcing the kickoff times.
