Miami reached 20 commitments in its 2027 recruiting class on Tuesday when four-star California wide receiver Eli Woodard chose the Hurricanes over Cal and UCLA. Let's take a look at how Mario Cristobal is doing on the recruiting trail so far.
Woodard became the second wide receiver in the class, joining five-star Miami Carol City standout Nick Lennear. He also became another example of Miami winning outside its own region after the Hurricanes secured commitments from prospects in California, Illinois, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi.
Miami has a quarterback in Israel Abrams, an elite cornerback in Donte Wright, a top receiver in Lennear and an edge rusher in Jaiden Bryant. All four are ranked among the top 20 prospects in 247Sports' 2027 player rankings. Wright is No. 7 nationally, Abrams is No. 9, Lennear is No. 18 and Bryant is No. 20.
Bryant gives the defense its highest-ranked front-seven player. He is one of two edge prospects in the class alongside Jayvon Dawson, while Miami has also added three interior defensive linemen and two linebackers.
Miami has interior defensive linemen Ezekiel Ayangbile, DeMarco Jenkins and Josh Johnson committed.
The secondary has five commitments: Wright, Ai'King Hall, Sherrod Gourdine, Andre Hyppolite and Jaylyn Jones.
