Miami’s second season under Jai Lucas has a clearer shape after the ACC released the Hurricanes' home and away opponents for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season. Dates, tipoff times and television assignments still have to be announced, but the opponent draw already shows where Miami's next push will be tested after one of the best turnaround seasons in program history.

Miami's ACC home and away opponents are set
The ACC schedule will stay at 18 games, with nine at home and nine on the road. Miami will play Florida State twice as its primary partner and Pitt twice as its variable partner for the 2026-27 season.
The Hurricanes will host Florida State, Pitt, Clemson, NC State, Notre Dame, SMU, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest at the Watsco Center. Miami will travel to Florida State, Pitt, Cal, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, North Carolina, Stanford and Virginia Tech.
The conference schedule starts in late December and runs through the first Saturday in March. The ACC will announce the full conference schedule, including dates, times and television designations.
The Hurricanes split the regular-season series with the Seminoles last season, losing 65-63 at home on Jan. 20 before winning 83-73 in Tallahassee on Feb. 24.
Miami beat Pitt 76-69 at home in last season's ACC opener.
Miami will not face Boston College during the 2026-27 regular season. That is the one ACC team left off the Hurricanes' schedule under the current model.
Miami posted 15 home wins in Lucas' first year, the second-most in school history, and the 2026-27 slate brings serious value.
Virginia, Clemson, NC State, Notre Dame and Syracuse all come to Coral Gables. So do SMU and Wake Forest, two games that could become important middle-tier ACC swing spots depending on how the season develops.
The road slate is where the schedule gets more complicated. Miami has trips to Duke and North Carolina, which are always two of the toughest road games in the sport. The Hurricanes also travel to Louisville, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and both West Coast schools, Cal and Stanford.
