Five-star wide receiver and Miami Hurricanes commit, Nick Lennear, has shut down his recruitment and will not take visits to other schools.
Lennear committed to Miami on March 5 and took an official visit to Coral Gables last weekend. The 247Sports Composite has him as the No. 12 overall prospect, No. 3 wide receiver and No. 2 player in Florida in the 2027 class.

5-star WR Nick Lennear shuts down recruitment
Lennear spent last season at Miami Northwestern before transferring to Miami Carol City for his senior year. He logged 20 receptions for 381 yards and seven touchdowns in 2025 after a 2024 season in which he caught 42 passes for 778 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Miami 2027 commits who have publicly shut down or effectively shut down recruitment
- Nick Lennear: After an official recruiting trip to Miami this past weekend, Lennear posted on Instagram saying he "will not take any visits to other schools."
- Jaiden Bryant: After flipping from LSU to Miami, Bryant posted "Recruiting shut down," and he canceled official visits to South Carolina, Texas A&M and LSU.
- Donte Wright Jr.: Wright announced his recruitment was shut down after flipping from Georgia to Miami. He previously scheduled official visits to UCLA, Georgia, Miami, Michigan and Oregon.
- Ai'King Hall: Hall's official visit to Miami cemented his decision and he shut down his recruitment after flipping from Oregon.
- A.J. Randle Jr.: After committing to Miami, Randle said he would effectively shut down his recruitment. He had already visited South Carolina, and his pre-commitment visit schedule included South Carolina, NC State, Florida, Miami, Ohio State and Georgia.
- Jatori Williams: Williams had been scheduled to announce after a full slate of official visits, but instead shut down his recruitment with a Miami commitment.
- Noah Glover: Glover has said that Miami is where he wants to be and that he won’t be taking any more visits.
- Sherrod Gourdine: Gourdine committed after Miami's first spring practice and decided to shut things down while on campus.
