It takes a near algebraic equation to figure out how Miami can earn an ACC Championship game berth. It all starts with a Miami win on Saturday at Pittsburgh. Miami is eliminated from a potential ACC Championship Game berth if it loses at Pittsburgh on Saturday.
What is the path for Miami?
During the Pro Football Focus Week 13 review show on Sunday morning, Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman posted a graphic of ACC Championship Game scenarios. The simplest way for Miami to earn an ACC Championship Game berth is a win over Pittsburgh, an SMU win and Duke and Virginia losses.
Miami at Pittsburgh will have a noon Eastern Standard Time kickoff on ABC. Wake Forest is at Duke at 3:30 PM on the ACC Network, Virginia Tech at Virginia has a 7 PM kickoff on ESPN and SMU at California is at 8:00 PM on ESPN2.
A Miami win will make for a long day of viewing on Saturday. Another game of importance to Miami for a College Football Playoff berth is Notre Dame at Stanford on ESPN with a 10:30 ET kickoff. North Carolina at North Carolina State and Boston College at Syracuse could also impact Miami reaching the ACC Championship Game.

Boston College at Syracuse kicks off at 3 PM on The CW. North Carolina at North Carolina State kicks off at 7:30 PM on the ACC Network. Miami needs a North Carolina State in three complex scenarios and a Wolfpack loss in a fourth possibility.
North Carolina State and Syracuse wins in a pair of scenarios would help Miami. All of the scenarios for Miami to reach the ACC Championship game need a win by the Hurricanes and at least three other results to happen. Saturday sets up for a wild day in the ACC with only SMU and Virginia in control of their own destiny.
