Miami sets program record with 17 All-Conference players
Led by quarterback Cam Ward, Miami set a program record with 17 players named All-ACC on Tuesday. Ward was joined by defensive tackle Simeon Barrow, kicker Andres Borregales and wide receiver Xavier Restrepo on the All-ACC first team.
Ward led the ACC with a 171.07 passer rating, 36 touchdowns and 9.5 yards per attempt. Restrepo led the ACC with 1,127 receiving yards and 11 TDs and finished tied for third with 69 receptions. Barrow shined on a maligned Miami defense with 28 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in 2024.
Borregales made all 57 of his extra point attempts and 16 of 17 field goals to join Restrepo as first-team All-ACC for the second consecutive season. Borregales is tied with Carlos Huerta for the Miami record with 178 extra points, is four FGs and nine points behind Michael Badgley for the program records.
Tight end Elijah Arroyo, right tackle Francis Mauigoa, linebacker Francisco Mauigoa and safety Mishael Powell were named second-team All-ACC. Francisco Mauigoa was named second-team All-ACC for the second consecutive year. Miami did not have anyone named third-team All-ACC.
Running Damien Martinez, WR Jacolby George, left tackle Jalen Rivers, guard Anez Cooper, center Zach Carpenter, defensive ends Tyler Baron and Rueben Bain Jr. defensive lineman Akheem Mesidor and cornerback OJ Frederique Jr. earned honorable mention All-ACC.
Bain, Cooper and George were all named All-ACC during the 2023 season. The other 11 Miami players earned All-ACC for the first time in their careers. Miami had 14 players selected All-ACC in 2023, including those who were selected honorable mention All-Conference.

Bain and Frederique are not yet eligible to enter the NFL Draft. Cooper is eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft but expected to return to Miami next season. is
