Offensive tackle Ben Congdon and running back Javian Mallory who are committed to Miami and uncommitted wide receiver Jasen Lopez were the only offensive prospects to take official visits in Coral Gables this weekend before the start of a dead period in recruiting.
Congdon appears locked into Miami. Penn State is the only other program that hosted Congdon for an official visit, per his 247Sports profile page. Congdon is the 304th prospect, 27th OT and 14th player in Ohio out of Zoarville, Tuscarawas Valley.
Mallory took an official visit last weekend that has some recruiting analysts speculating that he was not firm to Miami. Mallory reiterated he is strongly committed to Miami after his official visit in Coral Gables this weekend. Florida and Louisville also hosted Mallory for official visits, per 247Sports.
The 247Composite rankings have Mallory as the 312th prospect, 21st RB and 49th player in Florida out of West Boca Raton. Mallory has rushed for 3,221 yards and 38 touchdowns and added 41 receptions for 761 yards and 10 scores in four seasons playing varsity since he began in eighth grade.
Two-sport star Jasen Lopez gets basketball offer from Miami. This is one of my favorite players in the class and, in my view, someone with All-American upside. https://t.co/qBmSja0a2e

Lopez could be one of two dual-sport athletes for Miami in the 2026 class. Five-star WR Calvin Russell has also received offers from the Miami basketball and football programs. Lopez is the Natl.
252nd prospect, 43rd WR and 39th player in Florida in the 2026 class out of Chaminade-Madonna.
North Carolina State, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and Florida State have all hosted Lopez for official visits in the last month. No 247Sports crystal balls have been logged for Lopez, but On3 projects Miami with a 96.0 percent chance for a Lopez commitment.
Lopez has 257 career receptions for 4,206 yards and 48 TDs and has 177 rushing yards and another four scores playing for Chaminade-Madonna since eighth grade. Lopez also has 28 tackles, six passes defended and three interceptions playing a limited defensive role.
Miami has 15 committed prospects in the 2026 class which ranks eighth nationally. Two defensive prospects committed to Miami over the weekend. More commits are expected soon with the recruiting dead period after the final weekend of summer official visits that ended on Sunday.
