Florida, Mississippi and potentially BYU are the only three teams on the Miami schedule projected to make the 2026 NCAA Tournament by Joe Lunardi of ESPN. A win over BYU if Miami plays them in the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando would provide a huge boost for Miami in the NCAA Net Ratings.
Delaware State is the only team on the 2025 Miami non-conference schedule that the Hurricanes have not played previously. Miami is playing Elon for the second time and first since 1940. Miami has a 7-0 record versus Stetson and a 13-1 record versus FIU.
Dayton is 8-1 all-time versus Miami. Florida (47-26) and Georgetown (19-12) are the only other teams on the 2025 Miami non-conference schedule with winning records versus the Hurricanes. Georgetown and Miami were Big East rivals from 1991 through 2004. Television and game times will be announced later.
