Miami top 5 for Georgia Tech transfer WR Eric Singleton

Miami is top five for Georgia Tech transfer wide receiver Eric Singleton as posted by Hayes Fawcett of On3 on Saturday. Auburn, LSU, Mississippi and Texas are the other programs named finalists by Fawcett. Auburn is listed as the favorite with a 52.7 percent chance to land Singleton and Mississippi is second at 46.1 percent.

Singleton had 56 receptions for 754 yards and three touchdowns and 21 carries for 131 yards and another score. Singleton earned honorable mention All-ACC in 2024. In a 28-23 Georgia Tech win over Miami on November 2, Singleton had two receptions for 14 yards and six carries for 34 yards.

Matt Shodell of CaneSport reported Singleton will visit Miami on Sunday and Monday. Singleton has been consistent in his two seasons with Georgia Tech. In 2023 Singleton had 48 receptions for 714 yards and six TDs. Singleton's versatility would fit well into Shannon Dawson's offense.

Wide receiver is a key position for Arizona to add transfers to its 2025 roster. Miami loses Jacolby George and Xavier Restrepo off the 2024 roster due to their eligibility expiring. Sam Brown has one more year of eligibility remaining with the option of entering the 2025 NFL Draft.

Singleton is an exceptional athlete who competed in the 100 and 400 yards and the long jump in track in high school. Singleton reportedly visited Auburn and Mississippi with Texas set for early this week. Miami can offer Singleton a chance to start with a lot of inexperience at WR entering 2025.

Miami also was named a finalist for North Carolina State WR K.C. Concepcion. If Miami can sign Concepcion and Singleton with Isaiah Horton returning in 2025 they would have the potential of another elite receiving corps for whoever is at quarterback next season. Expect WR to continue being a target in the portal for Miami.
