Miami announced shortly after their 49-12 win over South Florida on Saturday that the Hurricanes are hosting ESPN College Gameday ahead of their week four game versus Florida. Miami has two of the best 2025 wins with victories over Notre Dame in week one and South Florida on Saturday.

Florida has a win over Football Championship Subdivision Long Island and losses to South Florida and LSU in the past two weeks. LSU beat Florida 20-10 with D.J. Lagway throwing five interceptions. Miami won 41-17 at Florida in the 2024 season opener.

ESPN College Gameday will be in Coral Gables for the first time since Miami beat Florida State 52-10 in 2020. That was during the Covid year and no fans were at ESPN College Gameday. Miami last hosted in front of fans when they beat Notre Dame 41-8 in 2017.

Next week will only be the second time ever ESPN College Gameday has been in Coral Gables live on Campus with the 2017 appearance ahead of the Notre Dame game being the first. When Miami hosted ESPN College Gameday in 2017, baseball legend Alex Rodriguez was the celebrity guest picker.

Miami football alum Dwayne Johnson was not available in 2017 was he was shooting a movie on location. It seems likely that Johnson would be the first choice as the celebrity guest picker. Miami will be appearing on ESPN College Gameday for the 27th time and as a host for the ninth time.

More information will emerge throughout the week about special appearances and what to expect as ESPN College Gameday returns to Coral Gables. ESPN College Gameday hosting speaks to the Florida and Miami rivalry, as the Gators are likely to fall out of the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls when they are released on Sunday afternoon.
