Miami opened the series at Stanford with a 6-3 win. The Hurricanes scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed. Rob Evans pitched 7.2 innings, allowed two earned runs on three hits with four walks and eight strikeouts to improve to 8-1.
Daniel Cuvet had three hits and two runs driven in for Miami in the win. Stanford starter Quinten Marsh lasted only one inning as the Cardinal threw five pitchers in the series opener. Miami added two in the fourth inning and two in the ninth to earn the win. Stanford scored one run in the third, sixth and ninth innings.
Miami clinched its fifth consecutive series with a 4-3 win on Saturday. A Dylan Dubovik single scored Derek Williams to five Miami a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Stanford plated three runs in the third inning with the last two on a home run by Rintaro Sasaki.
Miami rallied with three runs in the sixth inning. A Vance Sheahan scored Alonzo Alvarez. Dubovik followed with a two-run HR to provide Miami with insurance. The game was scoreless in the final three innings. Four Miami relievers shut out Stanford in the final 4.1 innings, with Jake Dorn getting the win and Ryan Bilka the save.
Stanford took out its frustration on Sunday with a 14-6 win. Miami led 2-0 and 4-2 on Sunday before Stanford took control with a four-run third inning. The Hurricanes tied it with two in the fourth before the Cardinal scored two in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead for good.
Stanford added one in the fifth, three in the seventh and two in the eighth for the eight run victory. The Cardinal scored runs off of five of the seven Hurricanes' pitchers. A.J. Ciscar allowed five earned runs in 2.2 innings for Miami. Brock Sell and Luke Lavin, the eighth and ninth hitters for Stanford each had three hits.

Miami lost its first midweek game 4-2 on Wednesday against South Florida. South Florida scored two runs in the top of the first and Miami tied the game in the bottom of the inning. The Bulls added one run in the third inning and one in the seventh to earn the victory.
Miami received a quality start from T.J. Coats, who allowed three runs, two earned, on seven hits with one walk and one strikeout. South Florida's bullpen shut out Miami in 3.1 innings, allowing only two hits. Ryan Pruitt and Lance Trippel at the top of the order and Gabe Gralau in the ninth spot each had two hits for South Florida.
Miami plays at Florida Atlantic on Wednesday and hosts California in a three-game series from Friday through Sunday. The Hurricanes dropped to 29-10 overall and 10-8 in sixth place in the ACC with the loss at Stanford on Sunday. California is 20-17 overall and 6-11 in the ACC.
