Just like that, football is back in our lives. On Monday, the first day of spring football is arriving for the Miami Hurricanes and Mario Crisotbal is ready to set the tone for the 2025 season. While the focus is going to be on the guys suited up, there are also some big-time visitors expected in town.
The list is headlined by 5-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, ranked the No. 1 wideout in the country. Keys is a touted prospect and understandably so. With spring camps kicking off across the nation this week, Cristobal and Miami will get the first opportunity to impress him, which feels major:

5-star WR Tristen Keys is visiting Miami for the first day of spring football
That update from 247's Gaby Urrutia is one that has plenty of Miami fans pretty fired up. Keys is a tremendous talent, which is why 25 schools have put an offer on the table for him. He's ranked five stars, the top wideout in the land and the No. 5 prospect nationally per the 247Sports Composite.
The thought of Keys making his way to Coral Gables for his college career is quite exciting, but landing his signature is not going to be easy at all for the Canes. Later this month, Keys is set to visit Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU and Michigan.
Alabama is also a program high on his list, with Keys planning to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa at some point. Auburn will also get an official. So, yes, there's a ton of competition for Miami to land him, but getting him on campus to start things off for the spring indeed is a small victory in itself.
Throughout this first week of spring practices, there are going to be several prospects on campus meeting with the coaches and players. Cristobal is ready to make a splash with 2026 prospects, with Keys no question being quite high on his board. Should this unofficial visit go well for him, it could lead to him scheduling his official visit with Miami sooner rather than later.
