The X account NFL Draft Files named Xavier Restrepo their fifth-best wide receiver prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona, Luther Burden III of Missouri, Jayden Higgins of Iowa State and Emeka Ebuka of Iowa State are the WR prospects ranked ahead of Restrepo for the '25 draft class.

Restrepo had his second consecutive record-breaking season and finished his career setting Miami records with 200 receptions and 2,844 yards, while ranking fourth in program history with 21 touchdown catches. Restrepo is the only receiver in Miami history with two 1,000-yard seasons.

The NFL Mock Draft Database currently ranks Restrepo as the 65th overall prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. Being selected 65th would put Restrepo on the cusp of the second or third round. Restrepo led the ACC in receiving yards and was fifth in yards per game in 2024.

Led by quarterback Cam Ward and Restrepo, Miami finished with the top scoring offense and in total yards in 2024. Over 90 percent of the snaps Restrepo played with Miami were in the slot. Restrepo projects to be drafted by an NFL team with a specific need at slot receiver.

Restrepo improved his yardage and TD total all four years with Miami. After a breakout 2023 season as a redshirt junior, Restrepo backed that up with another elite season by being named a consensus All-American in 2024. Restrepo projects to be the next highly productive Miami alum in the NFL.

Eight Miami players are projected to be drafted in 2025 by the NFL Mock Draft Database. That would be the most since nine Miami players were selected in the 2017 NFL Draft. Miami should return to having more players drafted with Mario Cristobal and his staff upgrading the talent on the roster every year.
