The Miami Hurricanes have had a lot of top recruits already visit in the spring, and they are also making room for specialists as Moses Barker, the No. 1 kicker in the 2027 class, made a spring stop in Coral Gables.

The Hurricanes have leaned on Jose and Andres Borregales for years, then had to sort through a new kicking picture heading into the 2025 season after bringing in Carter Davis from FAU and Bert Auburn from Texas, with Davis ultimately winning the job in camp.

Barker, out of Willow Spring, North Carolina, had a breakout showing at the 2026 Kohl's National Underclassman Challenge, where he tied for first in the evening field goal competition, finished second on kickoffs with a 116.63 score, and made 23 field goals in charting, which was three more than anyone else at the event.

Barker is a second-team K/P after a junior season in which he went 8-for-14 on field goals with a long of 50 yards, made 24 of 27 extra points, averaged 37.7 yards on 14 punts, and produced 34 touchbacks on 47 kickoffs.
