Before the Eagles dominated the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, massive NFL news broke earlier in the day. According to Jay Glazer, the Jets informed Aaron Rodgers that they're going to be moving in a different direction at quarterback next season.
With that, Rodgers won't be with Gang Green in 2025 and he'll be looking for a new place to call home. Could he end up not having to move far, though? From the moment the Rodgers news broke, rumors have been flying that perhaps Joe Schoen and the New York Giants will come calling.
The Giants will be taking a quarterback early in the 2025 NFL Draft, with Miami Hurricanes signal-caller Cam Ward being a top target for them. However, the belief is that a 'bridge' quarterback will be brought in to help their rookie come along. As wild as it sounds, there's a scenario where Ward and Rodgers could potentially share the same locker room next fall.

The Giants potentially signing Aaron Rodgers would impact Cam Ward
Obviously, several things would have to happen for this to all play out. The Giants would have to sign Rodgers, which a lot of their fans seem split on. Then, Ward would either have to fall to No. 3 for New York to take him, or the team would need to trade up to land him.
Regardless, the Giants must be aggressive this offseason in improving their QBs room. Both Schoen and Brian Daboll are entering next season on the hot seat, as back-to-back miserable years have been on display in East Rutherford.
John Mara has just about had it and he's losing patience. Ward, in our opinion, is the best QB prospect in the draft. The thought of him having a long future with No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers has plenty of Big Blue supporters excited about the possibility of them teaming up.
Then with Rodgers, he could end up being an option for one year, allowing Ward to take his time with his development and not be forced to be the savior for the franchise from Day 1. Again, a lot has to go down for the Giants to bring in both AR12 and Ward, but you never know what might occur leading up to free agency and the draft. There indeed is a scenario where Ward could spend his rookie season learning from a future Hall of Famer.
