Miami quarterback Carson Beck has thrown from a clean pocket on about 86.0 percent of his dropbacks in 2025. The clean pocket Beck has thrown from in 2025 has allowed him to lead the nation with a 79.3 completion percentage through week three.

The Miami offensive line has allowed four sacks and three QB hits during a 3-0 start to the 2025 season. Rarely under pressure, Beck has become the leader in the Heisman Trophy odds on the FanDuel Sportsbook through week three.

Beck is 11th nationally with a 185.74 passer rating, 25th averaging 270.7 passing yards per game, tied for 21st with seven touchdown passes and has thrown only two interceptions in 82 attempts, which is 2.4 percent of his pass attempts.

The Miami offensive line has been exceptional protecting Beck through the first three games of the 2025 season. Offensive lineman Samson Okunlola has been named to the All-ACC team in each of the past two weeks by Pro Football Focus and Miami right tackle Francis Mauigoa was PFF All-ACC in week two.

"If you don't get pressure on Carson Beck, he's going to beat you...When he's in a clean pocket consistently, he's really, really good. Only pressured on five dropbacks in this game...Through three games, he's only been pressured 12 times...In a clean pocket in this game, 84.9 passing grade, 21 of 24, 316, three touchdowns, two big-time throws. If you can't get to Carson Beck, he's going to kill you"
Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman, PFF

Both of the interceptions Beck has thrown in 2025 were against South Florida on Saturday. The first interception Beck threw against South Florida ended a streak of 201 pass attempts without being picked off. Beck was frequently criticized with Georgia in 2024 after throwing a career-high 12 interceptions.

Beck has been impressive with Miami by currently having career highs, averaging 9.9 yards per attempt and in passer rating. Through three games, Beck is on pace to equal his career high in TD passes by the end of the 2025 regular season.

PFF ranked the Miami OL eighth nationally entering the 2025 season and that might have been too low. Miami is second nationally, allowing 2.33 tackles per loss per game and 42nd, permitting 1.33 sacks per game. Miami has protected Beck exceptionally well with two of its three 2025 games against ranked teams.
