Edge rusher Booker Pickett Jr. and wide receiver Joshisa Trader were named among the "Biggest Riser, Mr. Versatile, The Undertaker: Superlatives from 2024 Under Armour All-America Week" by Andrew Ivins of 247Sports. Pickett Jr. was named the best first step and Trader the best route runner.

Pickett was outstanding in the Under Armour All-American game with four tackles, tied for a game-leading 2.5 tackles for loss, the only player in the game with two sacks, had two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble. Competing against the best players in the country, Pickett Jr. was a standout performer.

Trader did not have a breakout performance with one reception for six yards in the Under Armour All-American Game. Trader showed off his versatility receiving snaps on defense in the Under Armour All-American Game. Pickett Jr. and Trader are a part of the two best position units for Miami in the 2024 class.

Pickett Jr. is one of three four-star edge rushers with Marquise Lightfoot and Elias Rudolph in the 2024 class. Miami also has five-star defensive tackles Armondo Blount and Justin Scott as 2024 signees. Trader joins Ny Carr and Chance Robinson as four-star WR signees in 2024.

"BEST ROUTE RUNNER: MIAMI 4-STAR WR SIGNEE JOSHISA TRADER
You need just one word to describe Joshisa Trader: Smooth. After spending the past few years playing opposite of Jeremiah Smith (the nation’s No. 1-ranked prospect), he made it clear that he can be more than just some complimentary piece as he gave defensive backs fits with his agility and burst as a route runner. Trader, who has also made plays throughout his career in the secondary, also proved to be one of the best in attendance when it came to tracking the football and making acrobatic grabs look effortless."

Trader is the 50th-ranked prospect, third WR and eighth recruit in Florida in the 2024 Class. Trader is the sixth-ranked player, second-best offensive signee and WR in the 2024 Miami class. Carr is the only WR and offensive player ranked ahead of Trader in the 2024 Miami class.

"BEST FIRST STEP: MIAMI 4-STAR EDGE SIGNEE BOOKER PICKETT JR.
How big can he get? That has long been the question surrounding Booker Pickett Jr., as he isn’t exactly the most physically imposing pass rusher. Sure, the measurements aren’t ideal (6-foot-3, 205 pounds), but we have no concerns about his ability to get to the quarterback as he constantly wins his get-off and ankle flexion. Pickett ended up totaling a game-high two sacks and a game-high two quarterback pressures on Wednesday. Miami has a chance to get very creative with Pickett."

Pickett Jr. showed the potential to exceed his ranking of the 226th best prospect, 19th edge rusher and 33rd player in Florida in the 2024 Class. The trajectory for Pickett Jr. could be similar to Rueben Bain in 2023. Pickett will have to add muscle to his think for a DL frame but has shown the ability to be a productive player.
