4-star CB Jaboree Antoine down to LSU and Miami pre-Saturday commitment
For the second time this week, the LSU and Miami football programs are the finalists for a blue-chip cornerback. Four-star CB Jaboree Antoine told Chad Simmons of On3 he has narrowed his decision down to LSU and Miami ahead of his Saturday commitment announcement.
LSU beat Miami and Oregon for five-star CB D.J. Pickett on Wednesday. Antoine will make his announcement on Saturday at 5 PM Eastern Time. On3 National Recruiting Writer and Assistant Managing Editor Keegan Pope reported on Friday Miami is trending for Antoine ahead of his Saturday commitment.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists Miami with a 63.9 percent chance for an Antoine commitment with LSU at 33.4 percent. The sole 247Sports crystal ball for Antoine is to LSU the day after he de-committed from the Tigers. Canes Insight reported that "the Canes continue to feel confident" in their recruitment of Antoine.
Entering the commitment announcement for Pickett on Wednesday the consensus projections had the five-star prospect pledging to Oregon. Miami was considered the secondary option. Pickett's commitment to LSU surprised most analysts. Antoine's commitment seems more even between LSU and Miami.
Simmons and Florida State recruiting insider Michael Langston logged picks in the RPM for Miami in favor of Antoine ahead of his Saturday commitment announcement per Pope. On3 lists Antoine as the 87th prospect, ninth CB and second player in Louisiana in their Industry Rankings.
Antoine is the 71st prospect, eighth CB and second player in Louisiana in the 247Sports composite rankings. Antoine has the length the Miami coaching staff covets at 6'1 and 170 pounds. Miami previously had commitments from four-star prospect Chris Ewald and three-star Timothy Merritt at CB.
Miami currently has the ninth-ranked class in the 247Sports rankings and is 11th in the On3 rankings. A commitment from Antoine would move Miami up to eighth passing Oklahoma in the 247Sports composite rankings. Antoine would be the second-highest-ranked 2025 Miami commit, only behind safety Hylton Stubbs.
