Four-star edge rusher Hayden Lowe discussed his recent Miami football visit with Greg Biggins of 247Sports. Lowe visited Miami for the first time last weekend. The second official visit for Lowe will be to Coral Gables the weekend of May 31. Lowe has three more official visits in the following month.

Georgia will receive the first official visit from Lowe the weekend of May 17. Official visits to Oregon the weekend of June 7, Texas, June 14 and USC, June 21 will follow Lowe's visits to Georgia and Miami. Lowe is the 209th-ranked prospect,18th edge rusher and 20th recruit in California in the 2025 class.

Lowe has 100 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 17 quarterback hurries, two interceptions, two passes defended and five forced fumbles in three varsity seasons for Westlake Village Oaks Christian. USC is the frontrunner with a 38.1 percent chance for a commitment per On3.

Texas is second with a 16.9 percent commitment from Lowe and Miami is third at 14.5 percent. Miami is heavy on offensive commitments in the 2025 class. Four-star linebacker Elijah Melendez is the only 2025 Miami commit out of five on defense. Miami signed an elite 2024 defensive line class.

"I was just at Miami and had a great time so looking forward to getting back there. I love the coaching staff there and all the opportunities the school provides on and off the fieland their tradition is pretty crazy as well. "

The pitch from Miami defensive coordinator Lance Guidry and DL coaches Joe Salave'a and Jason Taylor can pitch the opportunity to play with five-star 2024 DL signees Armondo Blount, Marquise Lightfoot and Justin Scott. Miami is building a potentially dominant DL when 2023 ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year Rueben Bain is included.

At 6'4 and 242 pounds, Lowe already has excellent size. He will add muscle once he gets in a college training program. Biggins projects that Lowe "has the frame to easily add another 20-25 pounds with ease without losing any of his athleticism" with the versatility to play across the DL that Miami likes.
