Ball State at Miami: Injury/Inactive update and Who are the announcers
Ball State at Miami kicks off at 3:30 PM Eastern time on the ACC Network with Chris Cotter on play-by-play, Mark Herzlich providing analysis and Coley Harvey as the sideline reporter. As always, Joe Zagacki will handle the radio call with Don Bailey Jr. on analysis and Josh Darrow on the sideline for WQAM.
The ACC Network Huddle Pregame show airs live at 11:00 before Louisiana Tech and North Carolina State kickoff at noon. Miami will follow the Bulldogs and Wolfpack. The WQAM countdown to kickoff pregame show on Miami airs live from 11:30-2:30 with Danny Rabinowitz and Brian Monroe.
The pregame show with Zagacki, Bailey Jr. and Darrow airs beginning at 2:30. Rabinowitz hosts the halftime show with highlights, analysis and updates. Alex Donno hosts a two-hour post-game show on WQAM after Zagacki, Bailey Jr. and Darrow conclude their broadcast that includes updates from the locker room.
Eight Miami players are listed on the injury report. The ones to know are cornerback Damari Brown, defensive lineman Rueben Bain and offensive linemen Ryan Rodriguez and Jalen Rivers. All four players are listed as questionable. Bain and Brown are expected to be out through at least the Ball State game.
Rodriquez and Rivers did not play last week versus Florida A&M. Markel Bell started in place of RIvers at left tackle. Matt McCoy started in place of Rodriguez at left guard. Expect redshirt freshman Samson Okunlola to also receive significant snaps if Rodriguez and/or Rodriguez are out again.
๏ปฟBall State could be without wide receivers Justin Boswick Trey Firestone and Ty Robinson. Bostwick Firestone and Robinson also missed the Ball State win in the season opener over Missouri State last week. Defensive back Eric McLain and defensive lineman Hunter Sanderson are also on the Ball State injury report.
Miami has the depth to absorb the injuries versus Ball State. Getting healthy for the final non-conference game of the season at South Florida next Saturday night is critical. Miami begins ACC play on a short week versus Virginia Tech on Friday, September 27 at Hard Rock Stadium.
