Cam Ward was named the ACC quarterback of the week and defensive lineman Ahkeem Mesidor and wide receiver Isaiah Horton were named to the week four all-conference team by Pro Football Focus on Monday for their performances in the 50-15 Miami win over South Florida on Saturday.

Ward completed 24 passes in 34 attempts for 404 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Ward is the first ACC QB in 25 years to throw for three TD passes and over 300 yards in his first four starts. The 404 yards were the third-highest for Ward in FBS. Ward threw for 451 yards and three TDs for Washington State in 2023.

Ward earned his second ACC QB of the Week honors. The ACC previously named Ward the conference QB of the Week for his performance in the 41-17 Miami win over Florida in the season opener. Ward threw for 385 yards, three TDs and one interception in the win over the Gators.

Horton set career highs with eight receptions for 108 yards and one TD on Saturday. Horton went over 100 yards for the first time in his career. The previous highs for Horton during his career were five receptions versus Rutgers in 2023 and 70 yards in the 2024 season opener at Florida.

Mesidor had three tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss and a 0.5 sack on Saturday. Pro Football Focus gave Mesidor a 90.5 grade for his performance at South Florida. That was the grade on Miami per David Lake of Inside the U. Mesidor added two QB pressures and had an 82.5 run defense grade.

Miami utilized Mesidor's versatility. Mesidor played 34 snaps at defensive tackle and 16 at edge rusher per Lake. As a team, Miami generated 7.0 TFLs, 4.0 sacks and held South Florida to 1.9 yards per carry. South Florida scored their final points on a field goal with 2:36 remaining in the first half.
