Since his hiring in February, cornerbacks coach Chevis Jackson has been credited with the Miami football program receiving commitments from four-star prospects Jaboree Antoine and Chris Ewald and three-star Timothy Merritt.

Commitments from Antoine, Ewald and Merritt give Jackson an average rating of 92.44 points per player and 57.35 total points. Jackson is not listed in the 247Sports rankings of ACC recruiters but would be fifth overall with his 57.35 total points. Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal is second in the ACC with 61.08 points.

Antoine is the highest ranked of the three 2025 Miami CBs commits. The 247Sports composite ranks Antoine as the 71st prospect, eighth CB and the second player in Louisiana in the 2025 class. Antoine is the second-highest-ranked commit in the 2025 Miami class with a grade of 96.1439.

Ewald is the 197th ranked prospect, 24th CB and 30th player in Florida out of Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna. The 247Sports rankings list Ewald as the seventh-ranked 2025 Miami commit with a 92.5934 grade.

Miami might not be finished at CB in the 2025 class. Four-star Miami Booker T. Washington prospect Ben Hanks and three-star Aiden Anding from Ruston, Louisiana are CBs to watch for Miami in the 2025 class. Anding and Hanks both took official visits to Miami in June,.

Miami has significantly improved its CB recruiting under Jackson. Miami signed only two CBs in each of the two classes before Jackson was hired. The next step for Miami is to develop the CBs during their Miami tenures. Darryl Porter Jr. is the only CB on the 2024 Miami roster entering his final season of eligibility.
