9/27: Miami vs. Virginia Tech

The Hurricanes and Hokies will play a nationally televised game at Hard Rock Stadium on Friday night, with Miami unanimously considered a three-score favorite. Virginia Tech is 2-2 with losses to Vanderbilt and Rutgers and wins against Marshall and Old Dominion.

Virginia Tech has some standout players, notably running back Bhayshul Tuten and edge rusher Antwaun Powell-Ryland, and they're led by Kyron Drones at quarterback. Drones is a threat with his legs, but he has not done too much through the air at this point in the season. Expect VT's primary mode of attack to be on the ground.

2-2. Friday, September 27. Virginia Tech at Miami. 2306. 7:30 PM ET. 447. ESPN. 4-0. Miami -17.5

This should certainly be a game that Miami takes care of relatively easily. Let's not forget last year, though, when Miami faced a similar situation: they were 4-0 and heavy favorites in their first ACC game, which they dropped at home.

Everything indicates that this year will be different. According to the FPI, Miami has a 90.2 percent chance of winning the game. Anything less than a significant victory for Miami would be disappointing.
