Seven current or former Miami Hurricanes athletes and one coach will be participating in the Paris Olympics which begin on Friday with the opening ceremonies. The seven athletes and one assistant coach will participate in Basketball, Diving, Track and Field and Volleyball.

Eight Miami athletes competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 without a medal. Sam Dorman was the last Miami athlete to medal when he earned a silver in the 2016 Rio Olympics in the three-meter springboard. Fifteen Miami athletes have combined to win 30 medals in the summer and winter Olympics.

Olympic diving legend Greg Louganis has the most medals by a Miami athlete. Louganis won a silver in the 10 meter platform in 1976 and gold in the three-meter springboard and 10-meter platform in 1984 and 1988. Louganis did not get to compete in the 1980 Moscow Olympics because of the United States boycott.

Three Miami divers will compete for three different countries in Paris. Seven former and current Miami athletes will participate in the Paris Olympics, each representing a different country. Canada is the only country with two Miami participants, including basketball assistant coach Murriel Page.
