Miami Paris Olympians in Diving

Farouk finished eighth in the platform diving at the NCAA Championships to earn first-team All-American. At the ACC Championship, Farouk finished second. Farouk was in his second season at Miami after transferring from Alabama where he was the 2021-22 SEC Male Freshman Diver of the Year.

Per the Miami Herald, Passmore will compete in the three-meter springboard in Paris. Passmore qualified for the Olympics by finishing 17th at the World Championships in February. Passmore finished second at the 2022 World Junior Championships. That was Ireland's first medal in diving.

Pellacani took an Olympic redshirt year in 2023-24 per her MiamiHurricanes.Com page. Miami added Pellacani as a transfer from LSU. Pellacani won two silver, two bronze medals at LSU and was named SEC Freshman Diver of the Year in 2021-2022. Pellacani won five medals at the 2020 European Aquatics Championships, including one gold.

Rodriguez is playing for the Dominican Republic, which her father also represented. A New York native, the 18-year-old Rodriguez is the youngest Dominican to ever compete in the Olympics. Rodriguez redshirted last year for Miami and played for the Dominican Republic during FIVB qualifying late in 2023.
