Florida State at Miami named top 20 most meaningful 2024 games
Brad Crawford of 247Sports named Florida State at Miami in his "College football rankings: 24 most meaningful games of 2024 season" Miami will attempt to end a three-game losing streak versus Florida State at Hard Rock Stadium on October 26.
Florida State at Miami is one of three games on Crawford's list that involve two ACC teams. Crawford ranks North Carolina State at Clemson on September 28, 16th and Clemson at Florida State on October 5, eighth. When the media poll is released this week, Clemson, Florida State and Miami are expected to be the top three teams.
Most college football analysts have observed that Miami has a favorable 2024 schedule. In addition to the Florida State game, Virginia Tech on September 27 at Hard Rock Stadium and at Louisville on October 19 are the projected other Miami games to watch during the 2024 season.
The media have been discussing Miami's 2024 season opener against Florida on August 31 during the offseason. Mario Cristobal and Florida's Billy Napier are entering crucial 2024 seasons. Cristobal holds a 12-13 record in his two seasons with Miami, while Napier is at 11-14 in his first couple of years at Florida.

After playing Florida State, Miami will finish the 2024 season versus Duke, at Georgia Tech, a bye week, versus Wake Forest and at Syracuse. Duke and Georgia Tech will likely be picked in the middle of the ACC. Expect Syracuse and Wake Forest to be selected near the bottom of the ACC.
Miami projects to have its toughest games behind them entering November. It addition to Florida State, Louisville and Virginia Tech, Miami is at California on October 5 during the first month of the ACC schedule. Miami plays Florida A&M, Ball State and is at South Florida in non-conference games following the Florida season opener.
