Four-star center S.J. Alofaituli is 3rd top 100 commit in 2025 Miami football class
The Miami football program picked up its third 2025 top 100 commitment on Friday from four-star center Seuseu Alofaituli on Friday. Linebacker Gavin Nix and safety Hylton Stubbs who both committed to Miami earlier this week are also ranked in the top 100 players nationally by 247Sports.
Alofaituli is the 55th prospect, second interior offensive lineman and second player in Nevada in the 2025 class out of national powerhouse Las Vegas Bishop Gorman. Alofaituli will join his former Bishop Gorman teammate, 2024 signee Elija Lofton with Miami.
Michigan, Nebraska and Miami hosted Alofaituli for official visits in June. Offensive line coach Alex Mirabal led the recruitment of Alofaituli for Miami. Alofaituli is the fifth OL commit in the 2025 Miami class. Miami previously had commitments from interior OL Takaylen Muex and Max Buchanan and tackle Demetrius Campbell and Jaden Wilkerson.
The commitment from Alofaituli moved Miami from the 11th-ranked 2025 class up to eighth. Miami now has the top-ranked 2025 class in the ACC passing Clemson. The Hurricanes also lead the ACC with 12 four-star commits in the 2025 class. Miami is without a five-star commit in the 2025 class.
Alofaituli is the highest-ranked player in the 2025 Miami class. Per Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U, Alofaituli is considered the best center prospect in the 2025 class. Miami projects to be deep on the depth chart at center in 2025 with Alofaituli. 2025 redshirt junior Ryan Rodriguez and 2024 signee Nino Francavilla.
Alofaituli, Francavilla and Rodriguez will compete to replace Indiana transfer Zach Carpenter who will be the starting center for Miami in 2024. Carpenter is entering his final season of collegiate eligibility after three seasons at Indiana and one at Michigan. Miami has a good foundation at center for the future with Alofaituli, Francavilla and Rodriguez.
