How to watch 2024 Miami football signees in Polynesian Bowl Friday
Five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott and four-star edge rusher Booker Pickett Jr. will represent the Miami football program on Friday night in Hawaii at the Polynesian Bowl High School All-Star game. During practice this week, Greg Biggins of 247 Sports named Scott a Polynesian Bowl Day 2 top performer.
The Polynesian Bowl will kick off at 9 PM Eastern Time on the NFL Network. Kanoa Lehi, Steve Weiss and Dee Stroying will call the game. Nebraska QB signee Dylan Raiola who is the second overall player in the 2024 class is the only participant in the Polynesian Bowl higher ranked than Scott.
Scott is seventh ranked overall, the third DL and top prospect in Illinois and among the Miami signees in the 2024 Class. Pickett is the 226th overall prospect, 19th edge rusher and 33rd recruit in Florida in 2024. Miami players performed well in the postseason all-star games.
Pickett had four tackles, tied for a game-leading 2.5 tackles for loss, was the only player in the game with two sacks had two quarterback hurries and a forced fumble in the Under Armour All-American Game. Defensive back Ryan Mack had one tackle and a game-high three pass breakups in the Under Armour Game.
There are 57 four and five-stars players from the 247Sports Composite Rankings in the Polynesian Bowl. Scott and Clemson tight end signee Christian Bentancur are the only players in the Polynesian Bowl from Illinois. Pickett is one of eight players in the Polynesian Bowl from Florida. That includes players from IMG Academy.
Former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis and Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer are the head coaches in the Polynesian Bowl. The Polynesian Bowl will be played at Kamehameha School's Kunuiakea Stadium in Honolulu. The 2024 Miami class is living up to its accolades early.
