Jacolby George led all returning wide receivers in the ACC with 540 yards after the catch and 12 contested catches in 2023. George is one of the most explosive returning WRs in the ACC in 2024. After a breakout 2023 season, George is poised for a bigger season in 2024 catching passes from Cameron Ward.

George has spent a lot of the 2024 offseason in the shadow of Miami WR Xavier Restrepo. Restrepo led all ACC returning receivers with 85 receptions and 1,092 receiving yards in 2023. George finished in the top five in the ACC in 2023 in receptions of 10, 30, 50, 60, 70 and 80 yards.

George finished fifth in the ACC with 35 receptions of at least 10 yards, tied for fifth with seven receptions of 30 or more yards, two receptions of at least 50 and 60 yards and one of 70 and 80 yards plus. The breakout game for George in 2023 was five receptions for 94 yards and three touchdowns versus Texas A&M.

George had the signature play for Miami versus Texas A&M and in his 2023 season with a 64-yard TD reception on third and seven to extend the Miami lead to 48-33. George had five receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns, including a season-high 85-yard score against Florida State last season.

In nine of the 13 2023 Miami games, George had at least 50 yards receiving. George was clutch all season, with 33 of his 57 receptions for first down, 18 receptions for 15 or more yards and 12 catches for at least 25 yards. George finished second to Restrepo on Miami with 57 receptions for 864 yards and led the Hurricanes with eight TD receptions.

Pro Football Focus graded Houston transfer Sam Brown, George and Restrepo as three of the top 10 returning receivers in the ACC entering 2024. Restrepo is first, Brown ninth and George 10th. Brown, George and Restrepo are the only trio of returning receivers in the ACC who recorded 800 yards in 2023.
