Kyshawn George is a top 10 3-point shooter among NBA Draft prospects
Freshman guard Kyshawn George ranks ninth among 2024 NBA Draft prospects shooting 40,8 percent on three-point attempts during the 2023-24 season. George had a breakout season for Miami after growing three inches following his signing with the Hurricanes in the spring of 2023.
George led Miami regulars in three-point percentage Only freshman Paul Djobet who made seven of his 17 three-point shots had a higher percentage than George. George made 53 of his 130 three-point attempts. George ranks third among NBA Draft prospects from the ACC in three-point percentage.
Blake Hinson of Pittsburgh who made 42.1 percent of his three-point attempts and Duke freshman Jared McCain who shot 41.4 percent on three-point attempts were better than George among ACC prospects. George improved throughout the season. In ACC play, George made 38 of his 88 three-point attempts at 43.2 percent rate.
George is the best NBA Draft Prospect from Miami since the San Antonio Spurs selected Lonnie Walker 18th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. Walker is currently on his third team after playing for San Antonio, the Los Angeles Lakers and currently the Brooklyn Nets.

George scored in double-figures 12 times during the 2023-24 season, he was the first freshman to score more than 20 points in a game since Isaiah Wong in 2020 and the only ACC freshman in 2023-24 to average more than seven points and three rebounds while playing less than 25 minutes per game.
George is currently 22nd on the NBA Draft Database big board. Phoenix currently has the 22nd pick. The Suns have one of the off-guards in the NBA in Devin Booker. George can be a three position player in the NBA at both guard spots and small forward. George still has a lot of room to develop in the NBA.
The NBA Summer League will be critical for George's development. A stint in the NBA G-League is also a possibility depending on which team drafts George. The diverse game, length and versatility George possesses have NBA scouts intrigued despite his limited experience playing at a high level.
