The Miami baseball team will attempt to build on winning series versus Virginia and North Carolina during the last two weekends whehn they leave South Florida for the first time this season with a weekend series at Notre Dame. Miami has dominated the series versus Notre Dame, especially in South Bend.
Miami enters the weekend after a 4-3 walkoff win on a Dorian Gonzalez squeze bunt versus FIU on Wednesday. It was the second time in three games Miami won on a Gonzalez walkoff home runs versus North Carolina on Saturday. Notre Dame defeated Western Michigan 16-11 on Wednesday.
Notre Dame was swept by Virginia Tech and Florida State during their first two 2024 ACC series. In their other two 2024 three game series Notre Dame swept Rice and Tennessee Tech, but lost two out of three to FIU last month. Notre Dame swept a two-game series with Radford last week.
