Miami already knew its 2024-25 ACC opponents and on Tuesday night the Hurricanes learned their full schedule. The ACC announced on Monday that Miami will open the season on December 7 versus Clemson. After nearly a month off Miami will resume ACC play on January 1 at Boston College.
Miami will conclude a two-game ACC road trip at Virginia Tech on January 4. Duke will host Miami on January 14 and play at the Watsco Center on February 25. Florida State plays at Miami on January 8 and the Hurricanes play in Tallahassee on February 19. Miami hosts Virginia Tech on February 22.
The remainder of Miami's ACC road schedule is at Stanford on January 22, California on January 25, Louisville on February 8, Pittsburgh on February 15, North Carolina on March 1 and Georgia Tech on March 4.
ACC teams who will visit the Watsco Center are Wake Forest on January 11, SMU on January 18, Virginia on January 29, Notre Dame on February 1, Syracuse on February 11 and North Carolina State in the regular season finale on March 8.
Also on Tuesday, ESPN released their most recent bracketology projections. ESPN bracketologist Joe Lunardi projects Miami as the ninth seed in the South Region in Lexington, Kentucky versus Xavier. The Miami-Xavier winner is projected to play the winner between top-seed Auburn and 16th-seed Morehead State or Southern University.
Lunardi has the five above teams in the South Regional with the winner in Lexington advancing to play in Atlanta the following weekend. Tenth-seeded Miami defeated second-seeded Auburn in the 2022 NCAA Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina,
Miami won its next game versus Iowa State in the Midwest Regional Semifinals in Chicago to advance to the regional final for the first time in program history. Miami reached its first Final Four a season later. Miami will attempt to return to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years after a subpar 2023-24 season.
Guards Paul Djobet and Nijel Pack and forward Matthew Cleveland are the only returnees to the 2024-25 Miami roster. Miami signed the seventh-best 2024 class in the 247Sports Composite rankings and the 29th best transfer class. Freshman guard Jalil Bethea and transfer Jalen Blackmon highlight the newcomers.
