Miami incoming transfers

Kidd provides Miami with size they did not have in the starting lineup in the last two seasons. Miami is the third school for Kidd after beginning his career at Clemson. The 2023-24 season was a breakout year for Kidd. Kidd averaged 13.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG and led the ACC shooting 66.8 percent from the floor.

At 6'8 and 210 pounds, Johnson provides Miami with a versatile forward who is a good rebounder and adept three-point shooter. After transferring to East Carolina in 2021-22, Johnson started all 63 games for the Pirates in the last two seasons. Johnson averaged 14.0 PPG, shot 36.5 percent on threes last season and averaged 8.0 RPG in the last two seasons.

Blackmon is projected to start with Nijel Pack in the backcourt for Miami. Blackmon led the Atlantic Sun Conference and was 14th nationally, averaging 21.3 points per game in 2023–24. Stetson earned its first NCAA Tournament berth by winning the Atlantic Sun Tournament behind 43 points by Blackmon in the title game.

Huie adds critical front court depth for Miami at 6'9. In his one season at Idaho State, Huie averaged 11.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG and shot 53.9 percent from the floor. Huie will backup Johnson and Kidd at center and power forward in 2024-25. Huie, Johnson and Kidd provide Miami with more size on the frontline in 2024-25 for Miami.
