Miami football 2024 signee Deryc Plazz completely trolls Florida
Offensive lineman Deryc Plazz who signed with the Miami football program in the 2024 class on Wednesday trolled the Florida Gators after linebacker Adarius Hayes flipped to the Hurricanes. The flip by Hayes was one of the biggest stories for Miami on the first day of the Early Signing Period on Wednesday.
Hayes began trending to Miami after visiting the Hurricanes the weekend before the Early National Signing Period. Crystal balls rolled in for Hayes before signing with Miami. Hayes is the 73rd signee in 2024 class, the seventh LB and 12th player in Florida out of Largo in the 2024 class. Florida plummeted in a deluge of de-commitments.
The Gators are 16th with the Early Signing Period closing on Friday. Florida has been as high as third during the 2024 recruiting cycle. Hayes was one of 11 de-commits in the 2024 Florida Class. Miami had only five de-committed players in the 2024 Class per 247 Sports. One of the five Miami de-committed players was Armondo Blount.
Blount is a five-star defensive lineman who flipped back to the Miami football program when he signed with the Hurricanes in the 2024 class. Plazz has become one of the leaders in the 2024 Miami class. Plazz is the 714th prospect, 52nd interior offensive lineman and 99th player in Florida in 2024 per the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Miami received a commitment from Plazz in July after he de-committed from Penn State in June. Plazz took official visits to Miami, North Carolina State and Penn State in June. Duke, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Wake Forest received unofficial visits from Plazz earlier in the year.
Plazz clearly gets the Miami rivalry with Florida. To add a twist to the post from Plazz, Miami plays at Florida in the 2024 season opener on August 31. Florida will play at Miami on September 20, 2025. Florida and Miami have not played since the Gators earned a 24-20 week zero win over the Hurricanes in 2019.
