player. . . Chicago St. Ignatius. Justin Scott. Justin Scott. DT. 834. Justin Scott. 5-Star

Scott is the highest-ranked player in the 2024 Miami class, the 15th prospect overall, third DL and top player in Illinois out of Chicago St. Ignatius. At 6'4, 310 pounds, Scott is a college-ready body in the middle of the DL. The 247 Sports scouting report states Scott has excellent athletic ability for his size.

Cristobal said,"Justin Scott and Artavius JonesΒ and are about as explosive as you could be for a big man. These are wide bodies that are great athletes as well...Justin is a massive, massive man. Extremely athletic..." The DL was a priority for Miami in the 2024 class and Scott should make an impact as a freshman.

Miami Central. Armondo Blount. DL. Armondo Blount. . 5-Star. . Armondo Blount. player. 834

Blount had the most mercurial recruitment of the 2024 Miami signees. After committing to Miami in September, Blount flipped to Florida State in October and reclassified from the 2025 class to 2024. Cristobal and defensive line coaches Jason Taylor and Joe Salave'a were relentless in their recruitment of Blount.

Blount began trending to Miami last week and made his re-flip to the Hurricanes on Wednesday. At 6'3.5, 250 pounds, Blount has room to bulk up. Blount had a productive 2023 season with 58 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. Expect Miami to use Blount inside and outside on the DL as part of the rotation in 2024 as a true freshman.
