The tight end depth chart for the Miami football team is still evolving post-spring practice. Elijah Arroyo is continuing to get stronger two years out from a season-ending knee injury. Riley Williams should continue to develop after positive moments as a freshman. Cam McCormick and freshman Elija Lofton will also be in the rotation.

Arroyo had five receptions for 66 yards in five games with two starts before suffering a season-ending knee injury in 2022. Returning in 2023, Arroyo had one reception for 11 yards. As a freshman in 2021, Arroyo had five receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown in 12 games with one start playing behind Will Mallory.

Williams tied for the Miami lead among TEs with eight receptions and led the team with 72 yards and one TD in 2023. Williams showed his versatile game in 2023 with a Pro Football Focus pass and run block grade and an overall pass grade of 77 in three different games per Canes County.

McCormick was primarily used as a blocker in 2023 with eight receptions for 62 yards. Adam Lichtenstein of the Sun Sentinel reported McCormick had a "42.8 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus. McCormick had a 35.9 receiving grade with a 60.2 pass-blocking grade and a 56.3 run-blocking grade."

Jackson Carver played in two games without recording a reception during a redshirt season as a true freshman in 2023. Carver is regarded more as a blocker than a receiver. Carver is still learning how to play football after not picking up the game until his senior year of high school.

True freshman Elija Lofton has been mentioned as a freshman to watch nationally. During spring practice, Lofton was utilized at H-Back, running back and TE. Lofton could project as the third TE in the Miami rotation behind Arroyo and Williams. Miami has a deep TE group and should receive more production from the position in 2024.
