Hill had one of his best games during the 2023 season at North Carolina State with eight tackles and one interception ina 48-41 Marshall loss.

Hill has to improve in pass coverage. Per Pro Football Focus via Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald "Hill allowed a 93 passer rating in his coverage area last season – 32 completions in 57 attempts for 464 yards (14.5 average), three touchdowns and an interception."

Miami needs hill to become a key part of the CB rotation in 2024. There is not a lot of CB depth or experience for Miami entering the 2024 season. The addition of Hill was critical, but Miami could have used at least another CB. Hill should compensate for the loss of Davonte Brown.
