If the Miami football program receives commitments from four-star safety Hylton Stubbs on Thursday and four-star center S.J. Alofaituli on Friday as projected they will vault into the top 10 2025 classes nationally. Miami currently holds the 15th-ranked 2025 class in the 247Sports composite rankings.

Commitments from Alofaituli and Stubbs would give Miami 245.47 points in the 247Sports rankings. That would move Miami to the eighth-ranked 2025 class between Oregon and Penn State. Alofaituli and Stubbs would be the 10th and 11th players to commit to Miami since June 1 and the second and third this week.

Alofaituli and Stubbs would be the 16th and 17th commits to Miami in the 2025 class. Stubbs would be the highest-ranked player in the 2025 Miami class and Alofaituli would be second. Miami projects to have 12 four-star commits and five three-star commits with Alofaituli and Stubbs per the 247Sports rankings.

Miami has built a lot of momentum in the 2025 class since the Hurricanes began hosting official visits on May 31. Beginning the weekend of May 31, Miami hosted 57 players for official visits. Commitments from 19.3 percent of the prospects who took official visits is an impressive rate.

A strong season in 2024 could position Miami for consecutive top-five classes. Miami hosted several 2025 five-star prospects for official visits in June and remain uncommitted. Those players need to see Miami perform at a high level this fall before committing to the Hurricanes.

Defensive tackle and wide receiver are the only positions Miami is missing in the 2025 class. In June, Miami hosted seven prospects listed as defensive linemen and five WRs in the 2025 class for official visits. Several have since committed to other programs. Miami has thrived late in recruiting cycles under Mario Cristobal.

The summer has set the foundation for Miami recruiting classes during the Cristobal era. Miami is trending for another great class. The one thing missing is a foundational player. Miami signed five five-star prospects in the first two full classes under Cristobal. Expect at least one or two five-star players in the 2025 class.
