Miami football 2025 class ranks just outside top 10 in top 100 commits
The Miami football program is tied for 11th in the On3 "Teams with the most top-100 commits in the 2025 cycle" article published Tuesday night. Safety Hylton Stubbs, cornerback Jaboree Antoine and center S.J. Alofaituli are four-star top 100 commits in the 2025 Miami class.
Stubbs was the first top 100 commit in the 2025 Miami class when he pledged to the Hurricanes on July 4. Alofaituli kept the momentum going with a July 5 commit and Antoine committed to Miami on July 20. Stubbs is the highest-ranked player in the 2025 Miami class followed by Alofaituli and Antoine.
Ohio State leads all programs with 10 top 100 commits. Alabama is second with nine top 100 commits in the On3 database, followed by LSU with eight, Clemson and Georgia with six, Tennessee with five, Auburn, Florida State and Oregon round out the top 10 with four top 100 commits each.
Miami is tied with Michigan, Missouri, Texas and Texas A&M with three top 100 commits. Miami has the 12th-ranked class overall in the On3 rankings. Texas A&M is the only one of the four teams tied for 11th with a five-star 2025 commit. Ohio State has the top-ranked class. Alabama's four five-star commits are first nationally.
Stubbs is the 55th prospect, fourth safety and seventh player in Florida in the 2024 class. Stubbs and fellow 2025 Miami commit Amari Wallace will form an elite safety tandem for the future. Miami also has 2024 four-star safety signee Zaquan Patterson in the future at the position.
Alofaituli is the 75th prospect, fifth interior offensive lineman and third player in Nevada in the 2025 class out of Las Vegas Bishop Gorman. Alofaituli is the projected Miami center of the future. Miami earned the commitment of Alofaituli over Michigan and Nebraska.
Antoine committed to Miami after de-committing from LSU in June. The On3 industry database ranks Antoine as the 87th prospect, ninth CB and second player in Louisiana in the 2025 class. Antoine and four-star CB Chris Ewald provide Miami with two excellent prospects at the position in the 2025 class.
Miami is trending toward signing a third consecutive top-10 class. The Hurricanes are currently 10th in the 247Sports composite rankings and 12th in the On3 national rankings. Miami is trending for five-star edge rusher Iose Epenesa per On3. An Epenesa commit would move Miami into the top 10 and give them another top 100 player.
