Miami football ACC kickoff time set on Wednesday
The Miami football team will start the day on Wednesday at ACC Kickoff when they appear at 10 AM Eastern time. Head coach Mario Cristobal will be joined by quarterback Cam Ward, linebacker Francisco Mauigoa and left tackle Jalen Rivers in Charlotte.
Miami will begin the third day of the ACC Kickoff. ACC Kickoff begins on Monday with Commissioner Jim Phillips appearing in front of the media. Miami will appear in front of the media for 30 minutes. ACC Kickoff will be aired live on ACC Network Extra every day and will be streamed live. Coverage on the ACC Networks begins at 8 AM ET.
The ACC Network and ESPN2 will simulcast an hour-long season preview at 8 PM ET on Monday night. Throughout the week the coverage from Charlotte will feature interviews with coaches and players from ACC teams. Expect Cristobal and some combination of Mauigoa, Rivers and Ward on the ACC Network.
Per ESPN their networks will provide 48 hours of coverage. That is the most they have ever provided for ACC Kickoff. Miami is the only one of four teams in ESPNβs post-Spring Top 25 who will appear on Wednesday. Number 11 Florida State is the first ACC team that will appear in front of the media on Monday.
Number 13 North Carolina State and 16th ranked Clemson are scheduled for Thursday and number 21 Virginia Tech on Tuesday. Miami hosts Virginia Tech on Friday, September 27 and Florida State on October 26. Miami does not play North Carolina State and Clemson this season.
Florida State and Virginia Tech are the only ranked teams on Miami's 2024 schedule. Cristobal could be asked about the schedule on Wednesday. It's cliche, but Miami has to be prepared for every game based on its past. Miami has lost too many games over the past 20 plus years they were expected to win.
The season opener at Florida presents a tough challenge to begin 2024. Opening at Florida should be another topic of conversation for Cristobal, Mauigoa, Rivers and Ward. Miami is expected to be one of the favorites in the ACC when the media votes are released next week. Ward could be ACC Preseason Player of the Year.
