Miami football announces new uniforms and they’re… disappointingly the same
By Sam Fariss
The historied Miami Hurricanes have worn Adidas for a long time and recently unveiled the football team’s newest uniforms.
Shockingly (just kidding), they’re almost exactly the same.
While many perennial programs like Miami, including the Texas Longhorns and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, stay true to tradition by wearing similar uniforms year in and year out, fans may grow a little weary of seeing the same thing every week.
Programs such as Oregon like to bring hype to their teams by featuring some of the latest and greatest uniform combinations.
Young athletes, especially those coming directly from high school, seemingly enjoy the excitement that comes with entering a top-tier program with top-tier apparel.
One update to the Hurricanes’ unis is the lack of a shield shape around the U patch.
As soon as the football team shared the uniform announcement on social media, fans and haters alike shared their thoughts and opinions in the comments.
Notably, the Canes did leave a little teaser at the end of the video.
In a silhouetted stance, a Miami player stands in front of a neon sign. While fans are debating what exactly the sign says, it looks like the Hurricanes have more in store.
