Major Miami football target, four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine will have his "Commitment Date Dropping Next week" he stated in a post on X on Sunday. Miami is reportedly competing with Florida State for a commitment from Antoine after he de-committed from LSU in June.
Antoine took an official visit to Miami the weekend of May 31. Florida State hosted Antoine the weekend of June 14. Antoine committed to LSU following his fourth unofficial visit in Baton Rouge in January. Miami is the only other program with multiple visits from Antoine. Antoine took an unofficial visit to Miami in March.
Antoine is a high four-star prospect as the 64th player, seventh CB and fifth player in Louisiana out of New Iberia Westgate in the 2025 class. Miami is beginning to build a pipeline to Louisiana with offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson and defensive coordinator Lance Guidry from the Bayou State.
Miami signed safety Dylan Day and kicker Abram Murray in the 2024 class out of Louisiana. Walk-on kicker Will Rocha and running back Ajay Allen are other players on the Miami roster originally from Louisiana. Miami has frequently had success in Louisiana throughout its history.
Antoine would be the third CB in the 2025 Miami class. Three-star CB Timothy Merritt and four-star Chris Ewald committed to Miami in June. Miami is making the secondary a clear priority in the 2025 class. Safeties Amari Wallace and Hylton Stubbs were also recent commits to Miami in the 2025 class.
Antoine would be the second-highest-rated commit in the 2025 Miami class per the 247Sports rankings behind Stubbs. Miami is also awaiting the commitment announcement of five-star defensive back D.J. Pickett on July 17. Pickett would be the first five-star commit in the 2025 Miami class and highest ranked player.
The 2025 Miami class is currently ninth in the 247Sports composite rankings. Miami is building an elite secondary in the 2025 class. Commitments from Antoine and Pickett would give Miami if not the best, at least one of the top secondaries in the 2025 class.
