The Miami football program is heavily recruiting several prospects named in the "Top247 update: Introducing the 32-player, 5-star field for the Class of 2025." Miami currently has seven commits to its 2025 class. Four-star tight end Brock Schott is the highest-rated/ 2025 Miami commit.

Cornerback D.J. Pickett, defensive linemen Iose Espenesa and Elijah Griffin, linebacker Zayden Walker, tight end Elyiss Williams, offensive lineman Solomon Thomas and wide receiver Jaime Ffrench are five-star prospects Miami is heavily recruiting in the 2025 class.

Thomas is currently committed to Florida State and Williams to Georgia. Ffrench, Epenesa, Griffin, Pickett and Walker are uncommitted and do not have any 247Sports Crystal Balls logged for them. Epenesa and Pickett are the 2025 247Sports five-star prospects most strongly considering Miami.

All of the above except for Thomas and Williams have official visits scheduled to Miami in June. Epenesa and Pickett are the names to watch for Miami. Iowa leads for Hawkeyes legacy Epenesa with a 32 percent chance for a commitment per On3. Miami is second in Epenesa recruitment with a 20 percent chance per On3.

Ffrench is the first 2025 five-star prospect visiting Miami the weekend of May 31. Ffrench is visiting with three other WRs and 2025 Miami QB commit Luke Nickel. Pickett and Walker will be in Coral Gables the weekend of June 14. Epenesa is visiting Miami the weekend of June 21.

The 2025 Miami class is currently 28th nationally. Four players in the 2024 class committed in June 2023. Another successful June should move Miami into the top 20 in the 2025 class. Expect Miami to focus on cornerbacks. A class of four-star CBs Chris Ewald and Ben Hanks with Pickett would be one of the best groups in the 2025 class.
