Miami football Hidden NFL Draft gems since 2000

The Miami football program is among the most prolific nationally producing NFL Players. Several Miami alums have been hidden gems in the NFL Draft.

Graham began his football career in 2009 after four seasons with the Miami basketball team. In his second season in the NFL, Graham became a star with 99 receptions for 1310 yards and 11 TDs. The receptions and yards were career highs. Graham remained one of the NFL's elite TEs with five Pro Berths from 2011-2017.

In 2011 Graham was second-team All-Pro. Graham earned first-team All-Pro in 2013 with 85 receptions for 982 yards and nine TDs. Graham is seventh all-time in the NFL among TEs with 719 receptions, eighth with 8,545 receiving yards and fourth with 89 receiving TDs.

Gore persevered through two torn ACLs in college to become third in NFL history with 16.000 rushing yards in a 16-season career. Eight of Gore's nine 1,000 yard rushing seasons came with the San Francisco 49ers. Gore was chosen second-team All-Pro in 2006, made five Pro Bowls and was named to the 2010s NFL All-Decade team.

Gore recorded his only season above 2,000 yards from scrimmage in 2006 with 2,180 yards. The 2011 49ers reached the Superbowl for the only appearance of Gore's career. After 10 seasons in SF, Gore played three in Indianapolis and one with Miami, Buffalo and the New York Jets before retiring after the 2020 season.
