Miami football leads for 4 official visitors after big weekend

The Miami football program leads for four prospects who visited this past weekend per the On3 database.

The Miami football program is the leader for linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin, offensive tackle Jordan Wilkerson. cornerback Andrew Purcell and wide receiver Tyler Williams after the four were among 14 prospects who took official visits in Coral Gables this weekend.

The official visitors to Miami included interior offensive lineman Takaylen Muex and tight ends Luka Gilbert and Brock Schott who are already committed to Miami. Gilbert, Muex and Schott are not included in the four prospects trending to Miami. This was the first of four consecutive big weekends hosting official visits.

Marcelin is trending the highest to Miami with an 88 percent chance for the Hurricanes to receive a commitment from the three-star linebacker. Louisville is listed with the second-best chance for a commitment from Marcelin at four percent. On3 lists Marcelin as the 446th prospect, 44th LB and 62nd in Florida out of Miami Central.

Miami leads in a tight recruitment for Wilkerson. On3 projects Miami with a 34.4 percent chance for a Wilkerson commitment, Rutgers at 30.1 percent and Syracuse at 25.8 percent. Wilkerson is the 1,066th prospect, 70th OT and 131st player in Florida out of Orlando, Lake Highland Prep.

Miami has over a 10-point lead for Purcell. The Hurricanes are listed as the 33.3 percent favorite for a Purcell commitment, Georgia is second at 22.0 percent, followed by Tennessee at 18.9 percent and Kentucky at 15.9 percent. Purcell is the 544th prospect, 53rd CB and 26th recruit in Alabama in the 2025 class.

Miami leads for Williams with a 29.2 percent chance for a commitment, followed by Georgia at 20.6 percent, Central Florida at 13.3 percent and Syracuse at 11.1 percent. Williams is the 419th prospect, 70th wide receiver and 59th recruit in Florida in the 2025 class. Williams is a key recruit after WR Waden Charles de-committed this week.
