Linebacker Vincent Shaver and offensive lineman Kavion Broussard have de-committed from the 2024 Miami football class per various outlets. Expect more movement in the 2024 Miami class through the Early National Signing Period that begins on Wednesday. Broussard and Shaver are not listed as committed to Miami.

Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U first reported that Broussard would not be a part of the 2024 Miami football class. Hunter Shelton of On3 reported the de-commitment from Shavers. The de-commitments from Broussard and Shavers will open up two scholarships for Mario Cristobal and the Miami football program.

Five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount and four-star running back Jordan Lyle had 247 Sports crystal balls logged projecting them to the Miami football program this week. Miami gained commitments from five-star DL Justin Scott and three-star Kendall Jackson in the last three weeks.

Miami flipped Scott from Ohio State and Jackson committed to the Hurricanes about a week after he de-committed from Florida. Mario Cristobal usually has a surprise or two during the Early National Signing Period. More movement in the 2024 Miami class could occur in the next week. Miami currently has the seventh-ranked class.

Blount tweeted on Friday afternoon holding up the U. His flip from Florida State appears like it will happen soon. Commitments from Blount and Lyle would move Miami past Florida, Florida State and Texas into the fourth-best class nationally. Lyle is currently committed to Ohio State. Florida State would drop to fourth nationally without Blount.

Miami has a big weekend hosting commits, transfers and uncommitted 2024 recruits. Less than a week from the Early National Signing Period expect more movement in the 2024 Miami class. Blount and Lyle are among the players in Coral Gables this weekend. Wisconsin cornerback commit Xavier Lucas could also potentially flip to Miami.

Miami is trending towards signing a top 10 class for the second straight year. Based on the projections Miami should finish with a top five class. The talent Miami is bringing in could help attract more transfers. Miami is waiting for Washington State transfer quarterback Cam Ward to make a decision among other transfers.
