Miami football multiple WR options following 2025 4-star Waden Charles' de-commit

The Miami football program has multiple other options at WR following the De-commitment from four-star 2025 prospect Waden Charles on Thursday night.

The Miami football program will turn its attention to the six wide receivers who have official visits scheduled in June following the de-commitment of four-star 2025 prospect Waden Charles on Thursday. The de-commitment from Charles had not been unexpected.

Per Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U, Arkansas and Central Florida have emerged as the programs to receive a commitment from Charles. Urrutia reported Charles is visiting Arkansas the weekend of June 7 and Central Florida will host the Palm Beach Central athlete beginning June 14.

Miami will begin moving on from Charles with an official visit from three-star 2025 WR Tyler Williams this weekend. The weekend of June 7 will be huge for Miami hosting WRs. Three-star WRs Joshua Moore and Daylyn Upshaw, four-star Oregon WR commit Dallas Wilson and five-star Jaime Ffrench will visit Miami the weekend of June 7.

Four-star athlete Vernell Brown, a projected WR in college committed to Ohio State, will visit Miami on June 11. Miami will host four-star 2025 Homestead WR Cortez Mills the weekend of June 21. Miami is the leader for commitments from Mills per 247Sports and On3 and Williams by On3.

Miami is first with a 42 percent chance for a commitment from Mills per On3. Florida is listed third with a 17 percent chance for a commitment from Mills. Miami is listed with a 29 percent chance for a commitment from Williams. Georgia is second for Williams at 29 percent.

Expect WR to be a priority for Miami in the 2023 class. Jacolby George and Xavier Restrepo are entering their last seasons with Miami in 2024. Miami signed Ny Carr, Chance Robinson and Joshisa Trader in the 2024 class. Trader is in line for a role in the Miami rotation in 2024.

Houston transfer Sam Brown has two years of eligibility remaining. Sophomores Nathaniel Joseph and Robby Washington and redshirt sophomore Isaiah Horton provide Miami with a good foundation to build at WR with the 2024 freshman class. Miami has ample time to replace Charles in the 2025 class.
