A red-hot July has them (Miami) moving in the right direction. Each of their current top four commits came off the board in the past month, with four-star safety Hylton Stubbs leading the charge. The former USC commit will be staying closer to home.,,
Stubbs wasn’t the only major addition to the secondary, as Miami beat out LSU for coveted cornerback Jaboree Antoine. They also went out west to grab four-star offensive lineman SJ Alofaituli... four-star wideout Daylyn Upshaw and kept...linebacker Gavin Nix at home as well."
Antoine is the 87th prospect, ninth CB and the second player in Louisiana in the 2025 class, Miami received a commitment from Antoine after he de-committed from LSU in June. Antoine and Chris Ewald provide Miami with a pair of four-star CBs in the 2025 class.
Nix is the 155th prospect, 16th linebacker and 22nd player in Florida in the 2025 class out of IMG Academy. Four-star prospect Elijah Melendez and Nix form an elite LB group for Miami in the 2025 class. Nix continues an IMG pipeline for Miami. There are currently four IMG Academy alums on the Miami roster.
Upshaw is the 380th-ranked prospect, 61st WR and 18th player in Alabama in the 2025 class. Upshaw is the only WR commit in the 2025 Miami class. Miami needs to add WR depth with Jacolby George and Xavier Restrepo entering their final seasons of eligibility in 2024.
Miami is far from finished in the 2025 class. Five-star edge rusher Iose Espenesa and four-star safety Bryce Fitzgerald are among the uncommitted players trending to Miami. Five-star WR Jaime Ffrench is another elite player to watch for Miami in the 2025 class. Another WR in the 2025 class could be critical for Miami.
Miami is on the edge of signing its third consecutive top-10 class. The 2023 Miami class was eighth in the On3 Industry Rankings and the 2024 class was fourth. Mario Cristobal has significantly upgraded the Miami roster since he was hired in December 2021. The next step is production on the field.
